France arrive at Tignes base

France coach Raymond Domenech arrived at the Tignes resort in the French Alps on Saturday with 19 of the 30 players called up on 18 May for a second training camp. The team will remain there until 29 May, two days after France's first warm-up game against Ecuador in Grenoble.

Squad trimmed
The players involved in the French and Italian cup finals are set to join the squad at the Montana Hotel, used for every preparation bar one since 1998, on Monday. During this stay, the coach will also announce the seven names who will not be included in French squad for UEFA EURO 2008™.

Three friendlies
"The work we will do will be based on organisation of the team so that any player can feel comfortable," said Domenech, whose side have other friendlies on 31 May against Paraguay in Toulouse and 3 June versus Colombia in Paris. "Our three matches will not include trials but must help us to prepare what we'll do on 9 June against Romania.

Quality opponents
"We have chosen three opponents from South America and that is not an accident", Domenech added. "More than any other teams, they know how to make you slip up during a game and they strike suddenly. They are teams who will stimulate our focus on the game."

Training match
The UEFA EURO 2000™ champions have also added another unofficial match on 4 June at their training facility at Clairefontaine, where they will meet a selection of French professional players from the Union Nationale des Footballeurs Professionnels (UNFP).
